چکیده

QODI is an ontology-based data integration system (OBDI) comprising both ontology mapping and query reformulation methods. QODI is distinguished in that the ontology mapping algorithm dynamically determines a partial mapping specific to the reformulation of each query. The mapping algorithm decomposes a query into a set of paths, and compares the sets of paths with a similar decomposition of a source ontology. The query provides application context not available in traditional ontology matching; thereby the system is able to disambiguate mappings for different queries. The path-based solution also simplifies query reformulation, implicitly resolving the problem of missing entity mappings. Using three real world test sets, QODI achieves favorable results compared to AgreementMaker, a leading ontology matching system, and an ontology-based implementation of the methods detailed for Clio, the state-of-the-art relational data integration and exchange system.

Tags Re-ranking Using Multi-level Features in Automatic Image Annotation

Automatic image annotation is a process in which computer systems automatically assign the textual tags related with visual content to a query image. In most cases, inappropriate tags generated by the users as well as the images without any tags among the challenges available in this field have a negative effect on the query's result. In this paper, a new method is presented for automatic image...

Query Manager functional specifications

Query processing in global information systems integrating multiple heterogeneous sources is a challenging issue in relation to the effective extraction of information available on-line. In this report we delineate the functional specifications of a query manager in the context of a data integration, wrapper/mediator based system, the MOMIS system. The developed techniques rely on the availabil...

Integration of Visible Image and LIDAR Altimetric Data for Semi-Automatic Detection and Measuring the Boundari of Features

This paper presents a new method for detecting the features using LiDAR data and visible images. The proposed features detection algorithm has the lowest dependency on region and the type of sensor used for imaging, and about any input LiDAR and image data, including visible bands (red, green and blue) with high spatial resolution, identify features with acceptable accuracy. In the proposed app...

Queries, the Missing Link in Automatic Data Integration

This paper introduces the ontology mapping approach of a system that automatically integrates data sources into an ontology-based data integration system (OBDI). In addition to the target and source ontologies, the mapping algorithm requires a SPARQL query to determine the ontology mapping. Further, the mapping algorithm is dynamic: running each time a query is processed and producing only a pa...
